The love of my life is in Columbus while I'm in Toledo. He's there for college, but the seperation is so painful. I cry everyday whenever I think about him or us being together. I only tell him about 10% of the time I cry so he won't feel as bad, but it really hurts.
The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and its one that we have always spent together with the exception of this year*: ( He has to stay & do summer courses @ OSU while holding down a job so he has a lot of stuff going on to keep his mind off of everything.
I just really miss him.
I can't help but wonder how many long distance relationships work out for the better and how those people handle being so far apart.

I hate the dentist. Actually scared may be a better word. So you can imagine what I felt like when I needed a root canal! Kill me now...was the thought that flashed before me. Odviously I didn't listen, but instead got the most horrid dental procedure done-the root canal. I had it done 2 days ago and I still feel like a P.O.S. I can't open my mouth more than half way, my jaw is throbbing, and if food accidentally floats over to that side of my mouth and I chew on it, it feels like lightening hit me.
It has been said and I will say it again-Tooth pain is the worst pain you can have. (aside from natural child birth)-am I right ladies! But I digress from my point. Parents...listen up! If you actually communicated to your child what could happen to their cute little mouths if they didn't brush & floss every day like they should, and I mean really tell them about the pain...they would be scared, but they would have the prettiest whitest teeth a parent ever saw. I wish my parents told me!

Yesterday I wanted to walk across the street to go tanning...little did I know that sandals-though easy for tanning-are very susceptible to anything sharp on the ground.
I was walking on the grass and not on the street so I wouldn't get hit by the crazy drivers around here, and I took a step - heard a crunch - felt a sharp stab, and saw red. No one should be able to make green beer bottles....cause they blend too well into the grass! So I looked at the piece of glass that shanked me and it was a big f#cking piece of glass-Anyways, I pulled it out of my foot and started hobbling down back to my house...when I got about half way my foot was soaked with blood-spattering as I hobbled with my flip flops. That freaked me out---it took like 5-10 minutes to get it to stop bleeding once I got home...it looked like a murder scene in the bathroom-I regret not taking pictures now though. Would have made a better blog story with pics.
That happened yesterday and today I can't put any weight on my damn foot at all. I look like a spaz trying to go to the bathroom or trying to get to my room which is UP stairs. So I have no tan-and no use of my right foot at the moment. Sigh. Such is life.

Lately I have discovered the works of the great french artist, Gustave Dore. He has since become my favorite artist and I love to just stare at his peices of work. For those of you who don't know, he is a sketch artist that was born in the 1800's and had great successes like "Dore's English Bible", and the foundation of the 'Dore Gallery' in New Bond Street. I especially love the gorgeous biblical images that this man can create, & I hope you do too.

I turned 21 this past weekend and got some mad money which is nice, but I didn't drink-I know it breaks tradition but I just think that all alcoholic drinks taste yucky. Also, I am like the hangover queen. If I drink, I will get a hangover. In a way I kind of envy those people who can drink whatever they want and never have a hangover. Maybe someday I'll actually celebrate a birthday with more than stale cake on a paper plate. *: /

Now that is a smart man. One of the few men who actually liked cats - even admired them. I love my cat-he was rescued by my mom's boyfriend at the time under a shed in the rain. He was the slowest kitten and we grabbed him up before he slipped through the fence. I'm confident that if we didn't get him then, he wouldn't be alive today. He's like my baby. I know that Matt doesn't like him or cats in general, but I wish he could like one cat...mine. I don't hate dogs-why do people hate cats?

Ok heres the deal-my grandmother has to have like 3 surgeries this year, starting in August. Which means my mother and I are going to be the care-takers. I'm going to have to play nurse the most because she's going to need blood thinner injections and my mother is afraid of needles. So, I'm going to have to inject it. Which made me start thinking of becoming a nurse. I was always the little neighborhood nurse when I was younger--taking care of every scrape and whatever that a kid might have, so why not be the real thing? Plus I have been in and out of hospitals all my life and 99% of the time my nurse was always bitchy, and I think its high time that there be a nurse out there who doesn't act like there's a stick up her ass. *: ) Only time will tell. Peace~
